Naturopathy

“Tell me what you eat and I’ll tell you who you are.”

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is an alternative approach to prevention that takes the body as a whole and seeks to rebalance a terrain that is out of balance. These imbalances can manifest themselves in different ways: illness, malaise, fatigue, lack of energy and others. The goal is to understand their nature in order to correct them at the source by promoting the body’s healing mechanisms.

The naturopath works with other health professionals (doctor, acupuncturist, chiropractor, etc.) to restore the patient’s optimal health.

The modalities used are mainly education and teaching of healthy lifestyle habits, essential oils, plants, food and many others. The therapist’s goal is to equip the patient to take control of his or her health independently.

Basic notion of Naturopathy

During your first appointment with the naturopath, a general and global portrait of your health will be made through questionnaires (one completed before the consultation and others during the meeting). Current medical conditions, family history and prescription and non-prescription medications are taken into account in the health assessment so that nothing is left to chance. The body’s systems will be reviewed one by one to see possible imbalances and we will try to find harmony between the systems while addressing the reason for the consultation.

Choosing your Naturopathy treatments in our clinic is :

A personalized approach to nutrition

Initially a graduate of the Institut de Tourisme et d’Hôtellerie du Québec in Montreal, your therapist decided to see food in a different light by reorienting his training towards naturopathy. With training in one of the best hotel schools in the province and almost 20 years of experience in the restaurant business, he will help you make informed choices to eat better without necessarily breaking the bank and to promote health.

Your naturopath does not replace a follow-up with a nutritionist, but can be an additional asset to help you optimize your health.

Another look at your health

Your therapist does not pretend to cure everything as if by magic and even less to replace your follow-up with your family doctor, but he will be able to share with you his vision on your health according to a different approach where we take the time to ask ourselves questions and try to find answers.

Professionals constantly improving their skills through continuous training

A member of the National Association of Naturopaths, your therapist has over 1600 hours of training and is constantly in continuing education to stay current and up to date in her knowledge.

How many visits do I need for my treatments?

The number of treatments will vary greatly depending on the needs of the client and the reason for the consultation.
In naturopathy, we can address the following situations, among others:
-accompaniment with a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes
-Accompaniment with a diagnosis of cholesterol;
-Accompaniment with a mental health diagnosis (anxiety, depression, stress)
-Vitamin deficiencies;
-Joint pain;
-Digestive problems.

Take the time to discuss with your naturopath a personalized care plan that will be best suited for you.
